    3. This is kind of a non-genealogy suggestion....but it applies to almost anyone who does genealogy. I find that my favorite shopping is often done at Office Depot (or it's equivalent if you have other choices in your town). These stores often send out $10 coupons via e-mail. Sometimes when I receive the coupon, I shop for the manilla folders, hanging files, CD's , ink, printer paper, legal pads, pens, etc that I seem to always need for this passion that I call a hobby. With the $10 coupon I buy rechargeable batteries and chargers.....that way I have basically free batteries to use for my mouse, etc....You need two to four extras over the amount that you need daily to keep some always charged.
