Thanks to "N.East" for the information regarding XP Windows. Without going into all the details, the reason I want to re-install the Millenium is because the new system seems incompatible with all my original files. I had no idea I would encounter these type of difficulties. I'm really not to a computer "whiz" and, whilst I had no problems at all with my old system, I now seem unable to cope with the new one - it would seem a lot simpler to go back .... even though you're probably correct in saying that the XP is a far superior system. Incidentally, I have been trying to avoid buying a new computer with the Vista system as this seems to be causing many problems.
