    3. My apologies to the list, I was forgetting that this list is international and most folk wouldn't know anything about the NSW BDM cd's. While searching on the net for a solution to my problem, I came across a site which gave simple (thankfully) directions for loading the cd's onto XP. I've done this now & it works a treat. Sorry to have bothered you Bob, but thanks for taking the time to reply. Regards Kerrie >> Is there anyway I can run the NSW BDM CD's on my computer's O/S which >> is XP. Or do I still have to run them on DOS?

    3. I guessed, New South Wales, Birth, Death Marriage, but it took me a minute or two. You should be able to install whatever it is that runs the CDs and run it from the command prompt. START => All Programs => Accessories => [C:\] Command Prompt You get a little window that looks much like the old DOS screens used to look and act. Alfred D.
