I always read the fine print. It tellls you who gets the money and what percent. I send $6.00 per year ($3.00 X2) to the Eastern Paralyzed Vets for beautiful return address labels, including the prettiest Christmas ones I've ever seen, plus all my Christmas present tags included. It's a lot better, not to mention cost effective, than those chintzy $6.00 per 100 that I see advertised with the "legit" companies. Maureen PS My apologies, Ken.....although I do use them for genealogy correspondence, but that's a stretch. ----- Original Message ----- From: <WoodworthW@aol.com> To: <GEN-COMP-TIPS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 09, 2004 2:49 AM Subject: Re: [Gen-Comp-Tips] Off topic: Is it possible to have unwanted solicitations... That crud is the source of my free return address labels, and I feel no guilt whatever. Discard what you don't want and, by all means, do not respond. They spread the word to other solicitors about those who donate, and then you're really inundated. Nor do you have to pay for it. Use it, pitch it, whatever you choose.
