It was interesting to read the different problems list members have with SPAM. I use to have problems with SPAM even though my ISP used a SPAM program. Then I got the idea of using Parental Control on one of my Email accounts. I use this account for most of my Internet experiences. For it to work with Rootsweb mail lists I had to subscribe to "D" listings and not "L". "L" listings are sent to subscribers using the Email address of the original poster, which makes the "L" subscribing list ineffective. The "D" lists carries the mail list address. By adding this Email address to my parental control "do not block list" I now have a SPAM free account. I also have another Email account that has temporary parental control thanks to a friend giving my Email address to a company that ropes in people by offer a bonus prize to my friend. The ads read send friends Email address to them and they would in-turn contact the friends and give them each a FREE USB adapter. Well the SPAM messages pored in. So for a few months I need to use parental control on this account. I could have changed the address, however I don't like being forced to change my account address because of someone else's actions. I guess I am a bit stubborn. (:=)) John
