    3. ... and on this list we don't advocate software piracy. The simplest way to have the option to reinstall an application is to purchase the software - including disks, manuals, etc. ;-) Ken Quinn, List Admin ----- Original Message ----- From: "n.east" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 09, 2007 9:52 PM Subject: Re: [GEN-COMP-TIPS] New External Hard Drive - Need Help > Hmmm, it reads like your cousin used a pirated copy of Photoshop :-). 3. Ken, As a former employer in Silicon Valley, just down the road and around the corner from Adobe, I also *do not* advocate software piracy. My cousin provided a copy so that I could determine if I *could* learn how to use it before I paid the $s for the real thing. As far as I can tell, Adobe doesn't provide a comprehensive demo. I'm not a graphic designer / artist, the primary user of this particular version of the software. Based on 30+ years working, very closely, with SV software companies, most don't mind this kind of sharing because they know that we, the unskilled, 1st time user, will purchase if their product is any good, for us. And, we will continue to purchase the upgrades. However, if we can't learn it, we won't continue to buy. And, ultimately, our HD will fail and / or the software won't work when we change our OS. Then, we will be SOL.
