Oh Dear. I think the system is designed to keep us away from anyone who could help us. One method I have seen used it to put complains on line so that the general public can see them. Those that I have come across don't seem to post more than a couple within a given period. May work? Who knows. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dora Smith" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 12, 2006 9:36 AM Subject: Re: [GEN-COMP-TIPS] Family Tree Maker mailing address orphonenumber/ Sybil > My addresses are actually for reaching the top brass - she really didn't > give a clue what contact information she wanted and what for. > > Yours, > Dora Smith > Austin, TX > [email protected] > ----- Original Message ----- > > > > -- > Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.1.394 / Virus Database: 268.10.3/395 - Release Date: 7/21/2006 > > -------------------------------------- > Having trouble with your subscription? Well, I suppose I could always repost my complaints every week.... FTM has gone so far downhill that I actually put more energy into complaining about Rootsmagic and Legacy, for which there is more hope. The kindest thing that can be done for the public wehre FTM is concerned is to urge people to stop buying it. Atleast unless they want a little gimmicky program that doesn't do much. We could all do genealogical software review pages and put them on our web sites. Grin. I compiled extensive information on the ownership history of FTM and its group, and how to contact the officers, adn the possible major shareholders. It is definitely true that the best way to get through to FTM is to embarrass them by telling new users how much more other programs can do. It's the only thing anyone has ever known to work. That has not, however, apparently prevented the program in general from going sharply down hill.
