    3. How does one view these now? I have seven of the blasted things and I can't get them to open. The ones I have are old, but they worked for several years on more than one computer. Now I have Windows XP home on a Sony 620G and I can't read the information that I have already paid for. Blast !!!!

    3. If you have a version of Family Tree Maker install it on your present computer and you should be ableto read the CDs.     3. Do you have a copy of Family Tree Maker? I don't know which version might the earliest one that will run on Windows XP, but I have version 6 and it works fine. I just found version 16 at WalMart for about $20 so I picked that up, it also views the Family Archives/World Family Tree CDs. It took a while to figure out how to open it there, but in the VIEW menu, near the bottom is "Data CD" and behind that, View CD. - Of course, I already had the CD in the drive. Version 6 had a View CD on the toolbar which worked for me. Alfred D.
