I think I have a loose wire!!! I have lost the sound on my computer (Win98SE). There seems to be a wire with a connector on the end which is just hanging there. Should this be connected to the CDROM to get the sound? I'd appreciate some help with this please. Many thanks, Jan.

You didn't say just where the loose wire is Jan. Is it outside the computer case or inside? The other thing to check is have you inadvertently turned down the volume of the sound on your computer?
