    3. If you have an image editor, Photoshop, or any of the many others, find the Image Size dialogue. I'll give some instructions for Photoshop, but others should work similarly. With the resample box and constrain proportion boxes checked(so the picture keeps the ratio of height to width and the resolution will remain fixed) increase the size 10%. By increasing the size in 10% increments you degrade the image the least as you increase size. This is a great trick for the tough job of enlarging a picture file. That said, only increase the size enough to print effectively- the quality will decrease quickly as you enlarge. If this is a jpg file, make a copy first. Every save of a jpg will degrade the image a tiny bit, but every copy of the original will be perfect. I have tried the 10% method(which I got from a good Photoshop book, name forgotten) on high quality images with great success. If you try it on a jpg saved at low quality, the results may be spotty. You have to have some pixels to work with.
