    3. I got an optical cordless mouse today because my "mouse arm" was having some big time problems... I am finding it is not as sensitive as my track ball but was wondering if there is anything special I need to know about using an optical and/or a wireless mouse....? 3. I have gotten a couple of the optical mice, I find that they are much more sensitive than the old dirty trackball. But, you have to use them on a non-reflective surface, at least not shiny. and with enough character the mouse can see a difference as it moves. I wear blue jeans and find it works real well on my leg, that way I don't have to raise my arm WAY up on the desktop. My desk chair arm gets in the way a bit, but it does relieve the wrist strain. On the desk I have a red file folder which works well, except when I get near the edge and the mouse has to raise up over the clip area. I can think of no reason to ever go back to a ball mouse. NOW, I just noticed that you said cordless. I couldn't use one of those, there has to be a clear line of sight between the reciever and the mouse and my desk is way too cluttered for that. <};-) Alfred Eller RootsMagic-Users-Admin@RootsWeb.com ======================== ============== ----- Original Message ----- From: "McKnight Meadows/Road's End Ranch" <mmrer@earthlink.net> To: <GEN-COMP-TIPS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 17, 2004 1:59 PM Subject: [Gen-Comp-Tips] Mouses ;-) > I got an optical cordless mouse today because my "mouse arm" was having some > big time problems... > > I am finding it is not as sensitive as my track ball but was wondering if > there is anything special I need to know about using an optical and/or a > wireless mouse....? >
