    3. Hi all, could someone give me some advice please about the results of a page that my son looked at on the Internet? The page he looked at has put it's own dialler on the computer in the DialUp Networking folder and every few minutes this dialler cuts us off and immediately dials up to the web site that it's connected with. I have tried to delete the dialler in the normal way, but it just keeps coming back. Also, there are a couple of pictures from the web site he looked at that keep popping up at the same time as the dialler cuts us off. In addition to that the web page, www. Pureseekers. com. , keeps making itself my home page, maybe this is what triggers off the bogus dialler, I'm not sure. I'm on Windows 98 if anyone could give me any "Plain English" instructions as to how to get these things off I'd be really grateful. I have downloaded two programmes, one is Ad-Aware (the free version) and the other is Spyware Nuker 2004. I've scanned the machine with both of these and they found a couple of things but not the ones that I wanted them to find. Thanking you for reading this message. Kind regards, Jean.

    3. Jean, First step> GET RID of Spyware Nuker! This program only adds more ad tracking stuff to your system. Not to mention the fact that it overwrites Windows system files with it's own versions! Second step> Run System File Checker and replace the system files that have been overwritten. Third step> Update your anti-virus program and definitions. Run a complete scan of your computer. If you need help with any of these, please let us know. Good luck!
