I ususally operate on a mac....but am doing work today on a PC. I can not figure out how to put an accent over a letter....I need the accent that goes over the french E to make it sound like an "a".....I know how to say it but not to write it....but it sounds like accent ague.....and points from low on the left to high on the right....is there anyone who can tell me how to do that? To write the French é, press and hold the left Alt key while typing 130 on the number pad. When you release the Alt key, the symbol will appear. It will not work if you use the numbers on the QWERTY keyboard. Also, depending on what program you are using (Word or Excel, for example), you can click Insert, Symbol to find many different foreign characters.
