One of today's syndicated computer columnists said "BACKWEB.EXE" is a top security threat, as also is "rundll.exe" My just installed ZoneAlarm Pro Alert keeps showing that "BACKWEB.EXE-7288971.EXE" at times is trying act as an IP server and at other times as trying to access the Internet. Yet a search of my Desktop and of my C Drive does not show this. Should I be concerned? I keep advising ZoneAlarm to deny these requests. The "rundll.exe" does show up on my C Drive. Should I delete it? If so, how? This is on my Windows 98 PC dial-up connection. TIA. Norma
Sounds like you do have a nasty. Try a google search for rundll.exe and another for backweb.exe. I saw several potentially useful articles in the list. Jim Raehl N.
