    3. Thanks Art, I couldn't see any of my programs in the list with problems. With dial up I am connected for 4 hour blocks on most nights. Is there a way I can find out if XP2 is still downloading? There is no %progress thing happening that I can see. I just can't remember which day it started but it seems like nearly a week ago. The SP2 may not have fully downloaded and that is why the install box hasn't shown itself. Wait awhile until it does come up before attempting to install it. With a dial-up connection MS has stated that it may take several days for the download to complete as it can only download when you are connected. There are many things that have been changed/updated with the SP2. The security is just one feature mentioned as that is the one that seems to be giving people the problems. I should mention that problems are only encountered by a small percentage (15% or less) of those that have installed the update. I have been using SP2 without any problems. You just have to be careful when the system reboots to tell it what to do concerning the firewall, virus program and updates. Learn to use the new Security Center in the method that is best for you. Check the web site here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=842242 and see if you are running any of the problem programs (and versions) listed. If you are not, you shouldn't have any problems. I'm glad to hear you have ordered the CD. Since it is free, it doesn't hurt to have it. You never can tell when a need may arise! Hope this helps.
