    3. Art All very reassuring, thank you! I downloaded SP2 as soon as it was announced, but then waited a couple of weeks before installing it, to gauge what other users' reactions were. I found the forum on www.computeractive.co.uk to be very helpful with this and other issues. I've now installed SP2 and have had no problems (am I tempting fate when I say that?) I already had the Zone Alarm firewall, so disabled the Windows one, and run Norton AV as well. Those two, plus pop-up blockers, seem to be doing the business. I'm sure your advice is very sound - however people do it, a firewall and AV software are essential. If some of it costs, it's worth it for the security and the peace of mind.
