I consider myself to be something of an expert - however my new cordless keyboard and mouse had me stumped for about three days. I was sure I had read all the instructions - but just couldn't get them to work. Eventually I realised I hadn't primed the receiver unit by pressing the button to determine the frequencies used. Some possible pointers to your problem - Are both the mouse and keyboard using the same setting ( I think they should be) Have you setup the mouse, keyboard and receiver unit to all work on the same frequency? There is possibly a small recessed button on each of them which you are required to press Malcolm Hills http://www.county-surnames.co.uk/index.php http://www.monumental-inscriptions.co.uk/index.php -----Original Message----- From: Eunice Cubbage [mailto:eunice@cubbage.freeserve.co.uk] Sent: 08 September 2004 00:22 To: GEN-COMP-TIPS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Gen-Comp-Tips] Wireless Mouse problem Hi ! I have bought a wireless keyboard and mouse, installed both, and the keyboard works fine but the mouse doesn't respond at all. I have tried everything suggested in the operating instructions, to no avail, but wonder if there may be some conflict between my original mouse and this new one. I have uninstalled the new keyboard and mouse, and gone back to my old configuration, which works fine (I know, you're wondering why I bothered buying a wireless set, aren't you - so am I now !) SO... I wonder if I ought to uninstall the old mouse before trying to re-instal the new one again, but I'm loathe to do that as I can't see how I will then be able to access everything I need to re-install the new outfit. I'd be very grateful for any advice as this is causing a lot of GRRRRRRRR!!!!!! I am using Windows XP Home Edition. Thanks for reading this.
