Have used MrSid with ME and XP pro with no problems. Have not been able to use MrSid since I got the SP2 update. Not able to say for sure it is the SP2 update that caused the problem as also updated my antivirus and Spy blockers. Did not have need to look at 1850 census until now and find the problem. Maybe someone that hasn't installed SP2 yet will test Mr Sid before and after installing it. Then we will know more. Peggy
