Hi Gene Are you trying to restore a backup. Is the backup on the cd in version 4.0 FTM. Open FTM and go to file-restore from local backup. Choose your cd-rom drive and choose the file you wish to restore. When you say you want to download your file are you meaning that you want to restore from internet backup. Just click on that and follow the prompts. If you have a copy of your file on your comp then you just click open and find the file you want to open and say ok.
