I had to press keys - Fn + F2 to get it on, I've just tried restarting it to see if it comes on automatically, but it does'nt seem so. When I go to my daughter's house, all I have to do is turn on my laptop, and it automatically finds her network. The same is true if I go to a coffee shop or hotel with wireless access. However, my HP Pavilion laptop has a button that enables/disables my wireless capability. When I first set up my wireless network, it was a while before I discovered that button. If you have the same, be sure it's enabled.
