    3. Thank you Judy, Have you any idea where the button may be? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Judy in Ocala Sent: 21 October 2006 15:05 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GEN-COMP-TIPS] Wireless network If you have a built-in or plug in network card on your new laptop, it should find the network by itself. When I go to my daughter's house, all I have to do is turn on my laptop, and it automatically finds her network. The same is true if I go to a coffee shop or hotel with wireless access. However, my HP Pavilion laptop has a button that enables/disables my wireless capability. When I first set up my wireless network, it was a while before I discovered that button. If you have the same, be sure it's enabled. I have a pc with broadband and a laptop which is wireless through a router. I have bought a new laptop, but can't remember how to add the new one to the network. I have info on it, but all I can seem to find is how to reinstall broadband, or configure the router, but it says that only needs configuring once. Can anyone help please? It's only a little round thing. When it is on .... a little blue radio tower type symbol lights up, down where my on light and battery/ac power light are lit. Does this make sense? Maureen

    3. My switch is on the side of my laptop. I could not get my wireless to work and, somehow, that switched had gotten turned off. This is a Toshiba laptop. 3. Hi Pat, the one I'm trying to get going is a Fujitsu, I don't know why they can't issue them with instructions any more, there are 2 switches on the bottom of it, I think ones to release the battery, and the other seems to knock the comp off. -----Original Message----- From: gen-comp-tips-[email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pat D. 3. Thanks Maureen, yes it makes sense, but I still can't find it Bob, I gave that a go, but it won't let me key some info in, so that's a no goer :) -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of MJ Mann Sent: 21 October 2006 15:24 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GEN-COMP-TIPS] Wireless network On 10/21/06, June <[email protected]> wrote: > Thank you Judy, > Have you any idea where the button may be? > June, I'm not Judy <g> My 'button' is at the top, above the F keys, next to the power button. 3. On mine it's on the frame of the keyboard, above the F1, F2, etc., along with the power button, speaker button and a few other customized buttons. It's lighted, if that helps.
