Search your library catalogues for genealogy and you will find lot of books on it including ones on the Internet and genealogy software. There are two FTM lists on rootsweb. One thing I remember is that some of the early versions of FTM used a GEDCOM version, 5.3 i think, that was not formally adopted and was not used by any other genealogy program. Generally creating a GEDCOM file is called exporting. Look for that in the FTM menu. bob gillis
