I cannot open an image in email. Any ideas please? Thanks, Jan.
Hi Jan, There are two reasons that I know of for getting a red x. One is when you have your email security set so that you cant get pictures or attachments, the second is when the Sender sends in a .tif format. Bear in mind there are two tif formats. One of them is only usable on the pc it is saved on, the other is CCITT [the extension is still .tif but you can send it via email] If you have already been to Tools/Security and unchecked the "block images etc" box then you need to ask the sender to resend. There is no way you can open the picture if it is an ordinary .tif because you dont actually have it. The x denotes where it would have been if it had been sent! Suitable formats are jpg, bmp, gif, CCITT.
