    3. Do you have a copy of Family Tree Maker? I don't know which version might the earliest one that will run on Windows XP, but I have version 6 and it works fine. I just found version 16 at WalMart for about $20 so I picked that up, it also views the Family Archives/World Family Tree CDs. It took a while to figure out how to open it there, but in the VIEW menu, near the bottom is "Data CD" and behind that, View CD. - Of course, I already had the CD in the drive. Version 6 had a View CD on the toolbar which worked for me. Alfred D. 3. Hi Sybil- I have the same problem. Couldn't get any of them to work on my desktop with XP Home and the viewer installed. So I brought one of them to the Family Tree Maker Booth at the FGS conference in Boston. It worked fine on their computer. When I came home, I tried it on my laptop and it worked fine. Go figure. (Still can't get it to work on the desktop.) Sandy >> >> Sybil Chapman wrote: >> >>>How does one view these now? I have seven of the blasted things and I >>>can't get them to open.
