Marsha in WV It's an "e" acute - é If that doesn't come through, put née - as in "born", maiden name, into a search engine, and you'll get instances of it with the accent. You can then highlight and copy it. Wendy

    3. Hi Jim, As I mentioned in my reply to you last night which I did not send to the list, I had tried the Format, Font solution several times with no luck. I then decided to uninstall and reinstall and when I was set up again in Word Perfect the large text was still there, with a huge cursor and the strange ruler bar measurements. I tried "support.corel.com" and found that because my Corel was part of my computer purchase package, I had no online free support but there were phone numbers. I called and found they were very helpful for a fee of $25. (Canadian). The solution was very simple - click View, click Zoom at the bottom of the drop down menu, the zoom figure should be set at 100%. Mine was at 237% (for some unknown reason!). All is well now. Thanks for your reply, Jim - from New Zealand to Ontario, Canada in 25 minutes (even faster than Santa!). Merry Christmas to all the helpful list members. 3. To write the French é, press and hold the left Alt key while typing 130 on the number pad. When you release the Alt key, the symbol will appear. It will not work if you use the numbers on the QWERTY keyboard. Also, depending on what program you are using (Word or Excel, for example), you can click Insert, Symbol to find many different foreign characters. It has a disc but I still cant put the photos from the camera onto the pc. Can anyone help me. I have window XP. If all else fails send the photo's to a friend or relation & get them to download them to their computer & put them onto a CD for you. -- Gary in Sunny Queensland, Australia. www.sunzine.net/rockhampton Genealogy Page http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~liddellfamily/

    3. Many thanks for all who have tried to assist me in opening this CD-RW but having tried it on 4 machines running various programmes from Win98 through to XPHome I have had to admit defeat as they all show exactly the same error message in a read me file. I have Nero on this machine which hasn't helped. The properties on the readme file show there is stuff there but no way is it going to let me see any content, I now have serious brain ache. I would like to thank Gary, Sue, Frankie and n.east for giving me ideas where to look for the UDF info. I am working through and hoping that eventually I come up with the answer but being a computer dummy it may take some time! Heather
