Hello to all, This is my first post here, but assume this to be on-topic: I recently came across an article (22 Dec 1997 "US News & World Report") concerning forthcoming (or current) DNA tests to determine the validity of claims by the descendants of Thomas Woodson that he was the son of Thomas Jefferson and slave, Sally Hemings. This would seem to be be very big news, but I've seen no discussion whatsoever on any of the newsgroups-mailing lists. The exhuming & DNA testing of Jesse James' remains created a thread of 66 messages on soc.genealogy.misc. Could someone enlighten me about the seeming lack of interest in this matter?
