Hi! My name is Jean Pierre Gauthier. (voir la fin pour la version fran=E7aise) I propose to establish an internet association of people interested in the genealogy of all GAUTHIER. I have established a site at www.geocities.com/athens/5844 to concentrate the data and help researchers find a link to an ancestor. The site also contains an invitation to contribute the individual researcher`s data. The purpose of such an association would be to share research material and divide the tasks involved in assembling and standardising data. =46ree of charge. I propose to: 1. Establish a network of regional coordinators(France, Qu=E9bec, Ontario, USA,etc). 2. To designate one person with the responsability establishing, and acting as moderator of, an internet site(or network of sites). This person should have the technical ability(html.etc) to oversee a site and would be responsible for data entry in accordance with the group`s instructions. 3. Designate a discussion leader to establish and run a forum(members only-weekly?) 4. Designate a person knowledgeable in WEB advertising to recruit new members and advertise our association. Every aspect of such an association needs to be discussed with potential members before we start out. Please send me your comments and indicate your interest in participating in the association.
