Steve, as I recall you were going to get Emily's death record? What is the statue of that? I think your case is pretty conclusive even with the census records--it all adds up. One possibility about the location of marriage--I know it is quite a ways from Kosciusko County, IN, but you might want to consider Cincinnati, Ohio as it was a "no questions asked" marriage location and many Indiana couple married there--especially those who married young as this couple did. The only problem is that the records are far from complete but they still might be worth a shot. After you get a death certificate or other proof to connect Emily to Henry--then we need to look at the Geigers in Ohio--I can probably help give you a list of potential Geigers he could be. From the census records it looks as if his parents were born in Germany--so once we reach that point you may be able to get Naturalization papers which would hopefully lead you back to Germany and the village of origin--but we must walk before we can run on this one.
