Fellows wife died leaving him with infant daughters which he placed with various relatives and in at least the one I have ferreted out of the Brigeton Courthouse, named a legal gaurdian. First accounts I read had him going west never to be heard from again. Later I discovered he had drowned crossing a river out there. Just one example, but people were sometimes lax about the formalities. Val
