In those days people didn't make wills ahead of time as a general rule but only when they thought they were dying or very sick. My guess would be that whatever illness Christian Geiger died from (at age 79) was a rather sudden illness that caused him to hurriedly write his will only 3 days before his death. It would have been very unusual in those days to have just written a will just to have one--many years prior to his death. Joan
