    1. [GEIGER-L] More of Christian Geiger's Will
    2. In reading over Christian Geiger's will yet again I came upon a statement in the will which I think tends to support the position that he had not been married all that long to the named wife Christiana. He states that she is to get all of the furniture that she brought with her into the marriage. Now if he was referring to the wife Christina that he had married in 1752 it would seem odd that he would specify the furniture as being "hers" after 27 years of marriage in 1779. However, if he was referring to a Christiana whom he married after 1773 (who would most likely have been a widow with possessions from her previous marriage)--then it would seem commonplace for him to make mention of items that she brought into the marriage and which would revert to her possession after his death.
