Also can > anyone tell me if Washington Township is near the border with Gallia County? Not even close. Gallia Co is on Ohio River, right smackdab across from Mason Co, WEST BY GOLLY VIRGINIA. Washington Twp, Clinton Co is in the southeast quadrant of the county, but is buffered from Highland Co. (SE) by Clark, Greene and Jefferson Twps. (all kinda in a row from NE to SW). HOWEVER......this may or may not be pertinent: Gallia Co was formed 1803 from Washington and Adams Cos. Clinton was not formed until 1810...from Highland & Warren Counties. > Samuel Kiger, Chester Township, page 237. > This is the same Samuel as above--I think. What an odd coincidence. In my recent trip notes from Ohio jaunt, I found a Samuel KIGER in Chester Twp, WARREN Co, p. 321 showing: 1011001 (2 engaged in Agriculture) and 0111200. This Samuel was in the 40-50 bracket, I guess, unless he had an older male in his household. The oldest females (2 of 'em) were 20-30. > > Now I know that the Anthony Geiger in Licking County on this census is Peggy > Loos' Anthony--we have resolved that question. > > Monroe County: > Daniel Kiger > Henry Kiger > James Kiger > John Kiger all are living in Salem Township and are on page 107. Which census year? I show Daniel KYGER p. 121, Monroe Co, Salem Twp in 1820 census (again, from Ohio trip notes). Dick Andis (descendant of John KYGER, Sr, John KIGER, Jr, Permelia KIGER m.
