Kay, interesting that James Kiger spells his name with an I while his father spells it with a Y. It is Walter John Kiger whose ancestor is Leonidas but it would appear to be a DIFFERENT Leonidas than you name above. I think there are at least 3 Leonidas Kigers we have found so far (including yours). The third one was in WV. I have a question for you pertaining to Monroe County, Ohio Kyger/Kigers as your Kygers are the only family of that surname that I know of for a fact who lived there in the mid 1800s. I am looking for the parents of a Charles Kiger who married in Wetzel County, WV on 14 March 1871 to Adaline Tubaugh. Charles was 21 and Adaline was 20 at the time of their marriage. The marriage record states that Charles was born in Monroe County, Ohio, and Adaline was born in Iowa. This would make Charles' approximate birth year 1849/1850. I feel certain that the above Charles is in some way tied to the Kiger family of Greene County, PA but I can't figure out how he is connected. I have so many puzzle parts but am missing some crucial pieces. Joan
