The KAIGER, KAIZER, and KIER spellings were on my ancestor, Augustaus's, mar. bond dated 1786 - Augusta Co., Va.. He signed it "KIGER". The bond was held and firmly bound to Patrick Henry. It was "Sealed and delivered in the presence of: Samuel Merritt" and had To Col. Alex MClenaihan (looks like), Clerk of Augusta County. Test: Sam'l Merritt. He was mar. 2 January by Rev. Wm. Wilson (via Chalkley's Augusta Co. Records) to Cathrina SPRING. His children born between about 1788 to about 1804 were: Nicholas; John; Lewis, Sr.; Elizabeth; Margaret. These different children, during their lives, have lived in Augusta Co., Va.; Greenbrier Co., Webster Co., Braxton Co., Nicholas Co., W.Va.. Who were his parents and siblings???? Where did they live, where was he born and where did he die??? Does ANYONE have this man and wife in their records??? Can ANYONE help me on this "Brick Wall"????????????? I know, there's a lot of questions here but I've been at this brick wall for years. Thanks for any clues or help anyone might have. Helen
