Benjamin F. Geiger, a former prominent citizen of Stoyestown, died on Tuesday last at his home in Latrobe, aged 64 years. Shortly before the war he removed to Iowa, and there enlisted as a soldier. He served with distinction until the close of the war, when he returned to Stoyestown. He was elected a Justice of the Peace in that town some years ago. The deceased is survived by his widow and seven children, and by three sisters, Mrs. Jacob KEIM of Jenner; Mary, a widow of the late Noah BARNETT, of Stoyestown; and Mrs. Charles WAGNER of Buckstown, and two brothers, John of Buckstown, and Thomas, of the State of Washington. The Somerset Herald Wednesday, July 10, 1895. It is his grandparents - Benjamin and Caterina Geiger and parents - John and Margaret McAdams Geiger that I am looking for. Mrs. Charles Wagner was my great-grandmother. Joan: We have talked about Thomas Geiger before. I said he was in Oregon but the Obt. says Washington State. I will bet on Washington. I have been searching in both states with no luck so far. Also, I need to take a look to see if there is a Michael Geiger (killed in the Civil War) son of John and Margaret also. Some family records say another son was killed in the war named Michael. Eleanor Eleanor L. Myers myersel@battelle.org
