Sara, I am finally getting around to responding to your message to the list of July 31 about Jacob Geiger born about 1800 who married July Free. I am in the process of working on the Geigers of Westmoreland County and will keep my eyes open for any references to your Jacob Free Geiger. Also, I don't recall whether we have discussed this before or not but there is a prior connection between the Free family and the Geiger/Kigers--not sure if we are talking about the SAME Geiger/Kigers and Frees or not but I have in my files a Mary Kiger born about 1760 (maybe a bit later) in Virginia (most likely Berkeley County (now WV) who married Frederick Free. Mary's father George Kiger was the progenitor of the large Kiger family of Amanda Township, Fairfield County, Ohio. I think we need to try to determine if there is any connection between these Geigers and Kigers here. Joan
