Can't help you with the genealogy of this group, even though we have New York State Geigers on our tree. They do not connect with these in any way I can see. Our Geigers, however, were with a group of families from Alsace-Lorraine and settled in southern Erie County--supposedly because the hilly terrain reminded them of home in the "old country." Unless I'm mistaken, that other section of NYS is also hilly terrain. Maybe it had the same attraction. Georgianne
