One additional question though--since Latin can be such a troublesome language--a maker of keys is a locksmith. And the word for locksmith is Claustrarius artifex. Perhaps it is only a different way of saying the same thing? Do you want me to tell him how to do the German characters in e-mail--I would be happy to if it would help. Joan
