    1. [GEIGER-L] more on Geigers in Dauphin County---Christian Geiger line
    2. I checked the 1800 census for Dauphin County and found the following entries. William Ciger: 1 male under 10, 2 males 10-16, 1 male, 16-26, 1 male 26-45 1 female under 10, 2 females 10-16, 1 female 26-45 William Ciger: 2 males ages 16-26, 1 female under 10, 1 female 16-26 The above ages for the heads of the households would fit perfectly for what we know about Wilhelm Geiger born in 1779 in Lancaster County, son of Wilhelm Geiger. This date of birth would make him 21 years old on this census. I can't explain who the second male age 16-26 is in his household. So it looks as if both William Sr. and Jr. moved to Dauphin before 1800. Also the age of 26-45 would fit perfectly for William, Sr. to be Wilhelm Geiger (son of yet another Wilhelm and grandson of Christian Geiger) born in VA in 1756--which would have made him 44 years old on the census. William, Jr. would have been too young to appear on the 1790 census but for some reason I don't see William, Sr. anywhere in PA either in 1790. >From the number of children in William's household in 1800 it would appear we have many new Christian Geiger descendants to discover in Dauphin County.
