    2. I just received the following from another researcher. Does anyone have any further information on these Geigers. It would appear from this will of Susanna Geiger that she was married to someone with the surname Harry prior to her marriage to a Geiger and that she had children from both marriages. Note also that these Geigers were slave owners which is somewhat unusual for the Germans. Joan Washington Co. Md. Wills, Liber B., page 244-245. Susanna GEIGER of Hagerstown. Will Dated 8 Jul 1808, sick. To dau Elizabeth Harry: (list of furniture), To dau Amelia Harry (List), Residue Equally among my two daughters, except what is bequeathed to my three youngest daughters. To Francis GEIGER, Eleanor GEIGER, and Henrietta GEIGER all the clothing, quilts, tablecloths. To son Jacob, his father's clothing. My negroes and carriage and horse to be sold and the money to children: Jacob Harry, John Harry, Elizabeth Harry, George Harry, Amelia Harry, Jacob GEIGER, Francis GEIGER, Eleanor GEIGER and Henrietta GEIGER equally. Money to all equally. Sons John Harry and George Harry executors. signed with an X. Witnesses George Schmucker, Daid Harry, A.M. Waugh, proved 3 Nov 1808.
