Dorothy and Maggie, I don't think these are from other Kiger/Kyger families (at least most of them). Here is my take on the situation. Keep in mind this is only educated guesswork. How does this add up for both of you? Vird Kyger born 23 Mar., 1831 marries first Margaret McCaw as in Dorothy's chart. Vird leaves home on horseback--adios, goodbye. His baby son and wife die soon after. He remarries to Ella Y. Payton on Nov. 3, 1874 (and most likely this family never knows about the first one--this will truly be fun if we can bring together descendants of both families, won't it now?) and has the following children: Verda B. Kyger (named for him of course--she was most likely supposed to be a boy)--and she marries James A. Elliot on Jan. 6, 1911 Viola Kyger who later marries Irving Hendricks on May 2, 1901 Meanwhile my guess is wife number two dies and Vird remarries Mary L. born March 2, 1865 and then he dies and she marries John W. Ayers as a widow. The fact that Mary L. Kyger born 1865 is marrying in 1907 indicates to me she most likely is not a Kyger by birbut Vird's widow. This is STRICTLY guesswork. This entry could well be an entirely different Kyger family so PLEASE don't quote me on this one. I just have a "feeling" that this is how it will all play out when we learn more. Maybe we can put Dick Andis to work gathering evidence on this one. How about it Dick? Anyway back to the others: Martha J. Kyger and Jacob W. Stoner--agree on Maggie and Dorothy's records Amanda and Nathaniel Fish--agree on both and Maggie has added some detail for Dorothy Candance/Candessa--also agree. Mary M. Kyger--my guess is that her middle name is Melvina and that she is the same person who married Alvin T. Hughes in 1871 in Franklin County (she would have been 38 at the time but stranger things have happened). Joan
