Dorothy, at the moment I can't specifically place Catherine Ziegler or the Foutz but I descend from Zieglers in York County, PA, and I think Catherine is most likely a part of that family. I "daughter out" of the Zieglers at an earlier date than Catherine appears on the scene and I don't have much on the family by that time. In any event the family descends from Georg Philip Ziegler born 1677 in Sinsheim, Germany who died in York County, PA about 1756. He emigrated with his family on the William and Sarah in 1727--which interestingly is the same ship (and date) that my ancestor Ulrich Leib arrived on. Ulrich Leib's son Peter married Ursula Elizabeth Geiger, daughter of Christian Geiger--and now the Zieglers are most likely involved with the Oldfather/Altvaters who also marry into this line at a later date. The Foutz line if interesting in that Andreas Huber married a Foutz--and he is the brother of Johannes Huber who was Christian Geiger's next door neighbor who purchased Christian's farm from George Geiger in 1783.
