    2. Joan, It sure is difficult understanding all the Kigers. You were recommended to me by Tracy Hunter. That is how I knew about the KIGER mailing list.He sent me the papers indicating Benjamin Kiger was appointed guardian to Elizabeth. I presumed he was Anthony's brother, but have no proof. Maybe Tracy Hunter knows the answer to this. He said Jacob was Elizabeth's uncle. Now for Jacob's will It was written March 17, 1839, then recorded on Apr. 30, 1839, so he died some time between these dates. You mentioned census and couldn't find him. Look in the 1820 census for Vigo Co. (193) This area became Parke Co. then on the 1830 census. And by the way the town I mentioned was Armiesburg ( I hit the wrong key before) On the 1820 census he is listed as 45 and up, then 1830 census it is 50 or more, so his birth must have been around 1775-1780. Sorry I can't give you any answers to your questions about Benjamin Kiger or other Kiger families, but will start looking and pass on any information I find. Ruth Schaller
