My thoughts were that he could be his son--older brother to Elizabeth (but I can't prove it either). If Anthony actually is the Anthony Geiger I think he is (which may not be correct in light of this new information), then he didn't have a brother Benjamin. BUT he could well have had a son Benjamin--and Benjamin could well have had brothers named Jacob and John--after all the Anthony Geiger I think is this one DID have brothers by those names so they would be likely names for his sons as well--and there were other Benjamins in the family he could have named sons after. > He said Jacob was Elizabeth's uncle. I am not sure where that comes from--but Anthony DID have a brother Jacob--but his brother Jacob moved to Fayette County, PA and appears on census records there as Jacob Kiger in 1810 and 1820. We need to work on exactly what family relationships are provable and which are speculation. > Now for Jacob's will It was written March 17, 1839, then recorded on Apr. 30, > 1839, so he died some time between these dates. Yes--he is on there for Vigo County--under the spelling of Jacob Kigor on page 193 as you state. The age indicates he was born prior to 1775--sort of makes him too old to be Anthony's son--will have to think about this some more. Sorry I can't give you any answers to your questions > about > Benjamin Kiger or other Kiger families, but will start looking and pass on > any information I find. Yes--no matter what--keep Benjamin in mind. I really would like to learn more about him. Also, would like to make connections to the later Kigers in Parke County, IN. Joan
