Corrections and challanges to my information are both welcome and helpful in improving my database. Joan Young contacted me with two corrections for the tree I posted. One: The person I listed as Johannes George Geiger, Jr., born February 3, 1777 in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is shown on his baptism record as Johannes Geiger. Yes, I do show him listed as Johannes Geiger in my notes page and should NOT have changed his name. (from a correspondant) As an aside, Joan said, "As a general rule 'Johannes' would not be used with a second name--such as George. It is customary for 'Johann' to be used with another name though." Two: Joan questioned my using the middle initial "W." for George Gyger, the fourth child of Johann George Geiger and Barbara Kline. Since I have no documents, I will decline the information given to me and use George Gyger. I do spell his last name Gyger, though, because his family has consistently used this spelling. Maggie
