I have been successful at tracing my Geiger line back to a Michael Geiger who appears in the 1860 and 1870 census. In 1860 he is in Marlborough, Montgomery, Pennsylvania and in 1870 he shows up in Upper Hanover, Montgomery, Pennsylvania. The census images show he had atleast six children with wife Sarah. Elizabeth - b. abt. 1843 Emeline - b. abt. 1845 Henry - b abt. May 1849 Magdalena - b. abt. 1851 Etta - b. abt. 1854 Jesse - b. abt. Sep 1858 Because the images also show that all the children and wife Sarah were born in Pennsylvania I expected to find Michael in the 1850 census, but needless to say, I could not find in anywhere, nor could I find him in surrounding states. The 1880 census also, I can not even track down Henry or Jesse in Pennsylvania or surrounding states. Jesse and Henry later make appearances in the 1900 and 1910 census' back in Montgomery County. Also, so far I have not been able to locate them in any local churches for these areas of Montgomery County. So, the images indicated that Michael was born in Wurttemburg, so currently I am doing reearch on all the Geiger's said to have been born in Wurttemburg who were living in Pennsylvania in 1860. My hope is that I can find a brother or sister to Michael, but no luck so far. If anyone has run across this family, or has any suggestions, please contact me. my email is jaevanson@yahoo.com Thank you very much, James Austin Evanson
