Graveside Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday in Burkburnett Cemetery with Loren Gieger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Mrs. Matherly was born April 17, 1911 in Talco, Texas. She retired in 1978 as a school teacher in Burkburnett Junior High School. She was a member of Burkburnett Church of Christ , the A.A.R.P., and the American Business Women's Association, of which she was President - 1972-73, and Woman of the Year - 1972. She married Raymond E. Matherly on November 8, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1962. Survivors include two sons, Michael Ray Matherly of Midland, Texas, and Dana Matherly of Slidel, LA; a daughter, Valaree Frizzell of Conifer, CO; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
