Jan: Thanks for posting the will of Herman Geiger. Yes, you are correct that at least when he died it appears that he was married to an Elizabeth. Something I find interesting however, is the mention in the will of his brother-in-law, John Gollman. In the notes that I have regarding his [possible] marriage to a Margaretha Gartman, is the statement that after Herman's death, Margaretha married a man named Hans [John] Gallman! I do show in my database that Herman, Sr. was the son of Hans Jacob Gyger, Sr. and wife, Margareta Feerin (maybe just Feer, with the Germanic -in- added to the end?). I show this Hans b. 1679 in Wydnau, Diepoldsau, Canton St. Gallen, Switz. I also have Hans' parents as Hans Gyger, b. abt 1650, d. abt 1667/1687 and wife, Anna Fehr, b. abt 1647/1666. These names seem way to similar to me, so I suspect that this information is not valid. Herman, Jr. is also a mystery with wives either Lavinia Kaigler, or Margaret Theiler. I had the latter; however, it's good to get the line emanating from Lavinia as well. Hopefully we can find that Margaret was perhaps an earlier wife. I show no children for that union, but that's not real meaningful, maybe I just hadn't found any yet. Warren
