    1. [GEIGER] Geigers & Murffs
    2. Warren, yes, I do agree that the other land deeds must be a brother and/or father. There's a possibility that there are more deeds for Herman as well somewhere if he bought other land. I have quite a few for John and Jacob Murff, but there were at least three Johns back then, so I don't know which belong to which one! I'd like to find some deeds for John Randolph. I would also like to know who the Benjamin Smith mentioned in the will was also. I've got Smiths in my family tree also from SC. Is it also agreed that Herman Sr. had a daughter named Catherine? Does anyone know what happened to her - whom she married?? Thanks for the help! Yes, you are correct that at least when he died it appears that he was married to an Elizabeth. Something I find interesting however, is the mention in the will of his brother-in-law, John Gollman. In the notes that I have regarding his [possible] marriage to a Margaretha Gartman, is the statement that after Herman's death, Margaretha married a man named Hans [John] Gallman! I do show in my database that Herman, Sr. was the son of Hans Jacob Gyger, Sr. and wife, Margareta Feerin (maybe just Feer, with the Germanic -in- added to the end?). I show this Hans b. 1679 in Wydnau, Diepoldsau, Canton St. Gallen, Switz. I also have Hans' parents as Hans Gyger, b. abt 1650, d. abt 1667/1687 and wife, Anna Fehr, b. abt 1647/1666. These names seem way to similar to me, so I suspect that this information is not valid. Herman, Jr. is also a mystery with wives either Lavinia Kaigler, or Margaret Theiler. I had the latter; however, it's good to get the line emanating from Lavinia as well. Hopefully we can find that Margaret was perhaps an earlier wife. I show no children for that union, but that's not real meaningful, maybe I just hadn't found any yet. Warren >>
