    1. [GEIGER] Margaret GEIGER/Archibald H. JOHNS
    2. Connell
    3. I have - tentatively - Margaret (no dates), dau. of Felix GEIGER and Mary MARTIN, married to ____ JOHNS. But this info comes from the BURVAL website, which puts a disclaimer on everything posted. So I'm no help there. However, to confuse the issue more <g> ... I have Margaret's sibs listed from other sources - again tentatively - as: Jacob [abt 1798. C.A.Geiger Book assigns Jacob as "probable son of Felix, with three or four siblings before him".]; John Martin [born either in 1800 to 1810 (1840 census) - or 1798 (probate records; 1850 census) - or 1797 (gravestone estimate; 1860 census) - or 1801 (1870 census). As the gravestone seemed too new, I chose 1798 - prob. wrong!]; Rachel [abt. 1800, Wayne Co., GA, says her desc. Mrs. Burval]; Allen Bethel [26 Oct 1802]; Felix [6 Feb 1804]; and Mary [1 Jul 1806]. I have all the children born in Bulloch Co., GA, before Felix was awarded the land in Wayne Co. I wonder where the LDS got their info that Margaret was born in 1816. Not impossible, but big gap. Interestingly, both JONES and JOHNS are well-documented families in North Florida. My John Martin GEIGER (above) had a dau. Mary GEIGER born abt. 1833, who marr. abt. 1850 Archibald H. JONES, born 1830. They are on the 1850 Alachua Co., FL, census, p. 16, as newly-weds. Three houses down, we find the Nathaniel (50) and Kesiah (49) JONES family, prob. his parents. By 1870, Mary is living near her parents in Lafayette Co., as head of family with four sons. Arch could have died in the War. If I had the time <SIGH!>, I'd like to do a comparison study of JONES and JOHNS in the censuses.
